The above painting is by the talented Miss Diya Tibrewal. She is a bubbly, boisterous young woman with an introverted side. A brilliant painter, she uses a variety of art materials, including paints, pencils, and pastels. Her talent is evident in the effortless way she creates stunning works of art, imbued with a sense of elan and panache.
Inspired by a song “Fix You” by Coldplay she came up with this awesome piece which is featured at the top of this post.
Kindly note that I had no clue that this song existed when I wrote the following poem.
The sun is bidding goodbye paving way for dusk to set in and eventually twilight,
The winds are a blowing, the rivers are a flowing, the skyscrapers are all lit up for the night, it’s all a pleasant sight,
As darkness takes charge the lights seem brighter as they guide her to home and hearth,
Her heart is heavy, melancholic and in pain, engulfed by a sense of utter helplessness and gloom,
As she enters her abode and plops down in front of the warm fireplace, she finds herself desolate in that warm room,
The flames are a searing…. Her very soul…. flesh and bones seem to be on fire,
She is my friend… my sister… I cannot and will not allow her to wallow in pain…. She has to wage a pitched battle against the odds…. defeat her demons and emerge victorious…. she simply cannot give up arms and retire….
The lights have guided her home and ignited her bones but I will definitely fix her….

I present below an edited version for those who feel that the one preceding this one is grammatically incorrect….
The sun bids goodbye, paving the way for dusk to settle in and eventually twilight,
The winds are blowing, the rivers are flowing, the skyscrapers lit up for the night — a pleasant sight,
As darkness takes charge, the lights seem brighter as they guide her to home and hearth,
Her heart is heavy, melancholic, and in pain, engulfed by a sense of utter helplessness and gloom,
As she enters her abode and plops down in front of the warm fireplace, she finds herself desolate in that warm room,
The flames are searing her very soul; flesh and bones seem to be on fire,
She is my friend, my sister. I cannot and will not allow her to wallow in pain.
She must wage a pitched battle against the odds, defeat her demons, and emerge victorious. She simply cannot give up and retire.
The lights have guided her home and ignited her bones, but I will surely help her heal.

AND THEN AGAIN, YET ANOTHER VARIANT WITH AN EVEN MORE OPTIMISTIC APPROACH FOLLOWS….
The sun bids goodbye, paving the way for dusk to embrace the sky,
The winds blow gently, rivers flow serenely, skyscrapers illuminate the night so high,
In this symphony of twilight, every light dances bright,
As darkness ascends, her path is bathed in a guiding light.
Her heart, heavy with sorrow, cloaked in a melancholic shroud,
Engulfed in helplessness, a sense of doom too loud,
As she steps inside her haven, before the fireplace’s warm embrace,
Desolation wraps around her in this once comforting space.
The flames, like dragons, sear her very soul,
Flesh and bones on fire, consuming her whole,
She is my friend, my sister, I cannot let her drown,
In this sea of despair, I will not let her down.
Against the odds, she must fight a fierce war,
Defeat her demons, rise above, and soar,
The lights that guided her home, ignited her bones,
And I will be there to mend her, in the warmth of these stones.
In the darkest of nights, dawn’s promise will gleam,
Her spirit, unbroken, will find strength in the dream,
Together we’ll conquer, with hope as our guide,
For in the light of tomorrow, her pain will subside.
With courage reborn, she will rise and seize the day,
Her victory assured, as shadows fade away,
Triumphant and free, her heart will finally sing,
Embracing her destiny, a true and radiant queen.
