Lucy had a scruffy lamb,
Who loved to jump and play,
But when he tried to follow her,
He always lost his way!
He’d wander through the daisy fields,
And chase a buzzing bee,
Till Lucy found him in the mud,
As happy as could be!
“Oh Scruffy, dear,” she’d laugh and say,
“You’re always such a sight!
But with your wool all wild and gray,
You’re perfect in my eyes!”
One day he chewed on Lucy’s shoe,
Then tried to climb a tree,
He tumbled down into her lap,
And bleated with pure glee!
So Lucy smiled, her scruffy lamb
Would never be refined,
But with his silly, fluffy ways,
He had the sweetest mind!
