The Unwritten Pages of Tomorrow

Life is a river flowing only forward, its waters ever-changing and carrying echoes of the past along with the uncertainty of the future. The past remains untouched, a monument to what has been. Yet, within this truth lies a gift; a chance to start anew and shape tomorrow. This poem reflects on the wisdom of letting go of the unchangeable while embracing the power to transform what lies ahead.

The clock hands move; they never sway,
A march relentless, come what may.
What’s done is carved in time’s embrace,
A fleeting shadow, a vanished trace.

No path will lead where we have strayed,
No plea can shift the plans we laid.
The past, a tide we cannot tame,
Its embers cold, its flicker lame.

But lo, the present shines anew,
A canvas bright, unmarked by hue.
Within its folds, the seeds are sown,
Of dreams revived, of hearts re-grown.

No need to grieve the yesterdays,
Their echoes fade, their sorrow stays.
But here we stand, with tools in hand,
To shape tomorrow’s promised land.

The tale is ours to weave with care,
To mend the threads, to strip despair.
Though scars remain, their story bends,
For we can change how this one ends.

Each breath we take, a silent vow,
The past may sleep, but here and now;
The future waits with open doors,
For those who dare, for those who soar.

We cannot change the past, but we have the power to shape our future. By letting go of regret and looking ahead, we can embrace new beginnings and create tomorrow with determination and bravery. The future is open to those who are willing to redefine it.
